18 US Code, §2381 – Treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

A new report indicates that Republican legislators conspired with a foreign government to undermine the President’s foreign policy agenda.

  1. They could be prosecuted under the Logan Act, became technically one could argue that they weren’t committing treason.

    The Logan Act prohibited citizens acting “without authority of the United States” from “directly or indirectly” communicating with a foreign government with the “intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States”

    Seems to apply.
