Of course, had I pointed this out at the time the claim was made, the usual suspects would have quickly “corrected” me, citing various BS arguments (“the source is legitimate”, etc…).
This, right there, illustrates what is wrong with gun-regulation activists, and people in general – going to the source, they listed those 18 instances, and it would have been quickly obvious that they manipulated the narrative by including irrelevant and misleading instances as “school shootings”.
Both the misrepresentation of facts, as well as the blind embrace and repeat of such erroneous narratives doesn’t do cause any favor – in fact, if anything, it undermines any rational argument.
Everytown for Gun Safety’s figure is everywhere. Except it’s inflated and misleading.
