  1. Didn’t really bleed to death, but certainly being drained of 40% of your blood couldn’t have helped the situation. Also, the whole concept of “let’s create blisters in one area to distract the body from the disease in another” – seriously, I am baffled that people ever thought this even made sense. Then again, we only have to look at the scores of pseudoscience and homeopathy embracing idiots to realize that this same mindset still exists.
