  1. One system is based on an infrastructure that has been around for over 50 years, and has been designed with security in mind; while the other system has been designed carelessly with security as a lax afterthought.

    It wouldn’t matter if the market shares were reversed, the Mac would still be more secure – look at the iPhone and iOS, which is also more secure as it is built on top of the same frameworks. Android represents the lax Laissez-faire competitor in mobile.
