So, let me get this straight – this is the seasonal rains which I keep being told by drought alarmists “will never come”, and the water falling from the sky (you know, rain) that won’t make any difference in filling up reservoirs at all…?
Uh huh.
So El Niño was supposed to arrive this morning, and in true California style, it hasn’t showed up yet. Be warned, though, when El Niño does get here, it’s in the mood to fucking party—and it’s drinking to get drunk.
Exactly. Sells more newspapers.
The fact still remains that the current rains are refilling ground water (one of the arm waiving things that now no one talks about).
As for water for Hollywood (for example):

Furthermore, the rains will contribute to replenishing these reservoirs (all in SoCal) as well.

… and if all those reservoirs don’t matter, then why are they always referenced to show alarmist conditions (except when it rains, then no one talks about them.
