I hate to have to defend scumbags like that pastor, but he actually did not say or offer any of what these sensationalist headlines imply – the ‘burn’ was metaphorical, just as the offering to be shot was.
It’s unfortunate when the alleged rational and secular side has to bow down and assume ridiculous emotional sensationalism to make a weak point.
Trust me, I’d love to see this guy set himself on fire – but that’s not what he said or offered.
