When you see a photo of a sick baby in your newsfeed saying something like “Pray for this baby!! Don’t scroll without typing ‘Amen'”, it’s an emotive way to get people to comment (or in some cases if the post asks, to like or share). The more people comment, like, or share, the more the post enters their friends newsfeeds. The more it enters peoples newsfeeds, the higher the chances are that people will like the page. And that’s all it’s about; it’s a hoax – a way of promoting the page. Remember, people sell Facebook pages once they have a high number of likes. Once that happens, the new owners can change the name of the page. If you didn’t know this already – and I’d hope most of my fb friends already did know – you do now. So stop it.
